L'Atelier d'Histoire
Follow in the footsteps of history; visit churches and chapels adorned with frescoes, admire the rural architecture of the villages, and take in the beauty of the sundials.
Description
Discover the cultural heritage and history of the Greater Briançon region with Elsa, a historian and tour guide. Highlights include the murals in the church and chapel of Plampinet, the village of Névache with its typical rural architecture, and the church of Névache with its Romanesque portals, Gothic decorations, and Baroque altarpiece.
INDIVIDUALS
Every summer and winter, a program of weekly guided tours is published; reservations are required and can be made by text message or online.
GROUPS
Guided tours of churches, painted chapels, villages, a sundial tour, and more.
Lectures on the history and art history of the Greater Briançon region.
For guided tours, we tailor the itinerary to suit your group’s size.
- 10 to 30 people: one guide, Elsa Giraud.
- 30 to 50 people: we recommend bringing in a second guide to ensure two high-quality tours at the same site.
SCHOOL GROUPS
Interactive tours and educational workshops are available for classes starting in elementary school. Children learn to “make history”—to research, observe, analyze, compare, and more.
