How's it going? The Transhumance Festival?

Discovering the ancient tradition of transhumance:
Starting at 10:00 a.m.,

The Nevascanim Association invites you to Ville-Haute, at the tourist office square, for a market featuring local artisans and producers, along with activities and exhibitions…

Starting at 12:00 p.m.,

The festivities continue with a delicious meal made from organic, locally sourced ingredients as we await the arrival of the day’s special guests. The menu is served on tasty edible plates made from organic bread baked over a wood fire at the Névache bakery.

Early in the afternoon

The festivities continue with the long-awaited arrival of the herd around 1:30 p.m. (time to be confirmed). After a long journey from Provence, the herd takes its first breath of mountain air and acclimates. The animals then begin their trek to the mountain pastures, accompanied by the crowd and the music of a local accordionist. At a place called “Lacou,” which overlooks Névache, a short, easy hike (about 2 km one way, with a 200-meter elevation gain) offers a well-deserved break in the heart of nature. It’s the perfect opportunity to share a friendly snack before heading back down.
