This dial of the famous Zarbula cadranier is located on the facade of the Mallinier house in the hamlet of La Vachette.
Dated from 1840 and covering an even older dial. It was restored by Evelyne Rey-Peyrot in 1994.

Description

This sundial is a good example of the Zarbula style. The trompe-l'oeil, the faux marble, the exotic birds are features elements of this Piedmontese dialer having made several solar dials in the Briançonnais.
