The Lautaret Workshop

Véronique and Jérôme FOUVET were beekeepers for nearly 15 years. Since 2021, they have been focusing exclusively on creating and developing a variety of gourmet recipes made with honey, as well as a line of beauty products.

Description

Based at the Col du Lautaret since 2007, at an altitude of over 2,000 meters, Véronique and Jérôme enjoy processing honeycomb products. Their specialties include pure honey gingerbread, a hiker’s energy bar, as well as nougat, honey jams, honey syrup, honey vinegar, and spreads…
They also process propolis to make day creams and skincare products. Véronique has also specialized in making olive oil-based soaps enriched with honey and beeswax.
All honey-based products (excluding candies and mead) are 100% local, made by them at the Col du Lautaret!

Where to Buy:

At the Col du Lautaret, a small shop at the end of the “Café de la Ferme” restaurant, on the roadside: open from mid-June to early September, daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Outside these periods, products are sold at the farm located next to the Alpine Garden (please call ahead before visiting).
