Camping de La Lame

Located at the entrance to Névache in the hamlet of Roubion, this municipal campground borders the river, where a few small natural beaches offer the perfect setting for a wonderful family outing. It’s close to all amenities and numerous hiking trails.

Description

Its variety of campsites allows campers to choose according to their preferences, thereby satisfying as many people as possible.

Several amenities are available to campers: a covered barbecue area, dishwashing and laundry sinks, hot-water showers (coin-operated), and access to IGN maps at the front desk. The campground is also equipped with a few electrical hookups, a waste disposal station for RVs, and a water refill station.

A grocery store and restaurants are located about 50 meters from the campground, in the hamlet of Roubion, where you’ll also find shops and local artisans.
A bus stop located across from the campground’s main entrance allows you to take the free shuttle buses to the hamlet of Ville-Haute (the village center), which operate during part of the summer. These shuttles allow campers to reach the village’s other hamlets, where they’ll find additional shops and restaurants (sports store, bakery, Tourist Office).
For the more adventurous, a trail starting from the campground allows you to walk to the various hamlets of Névache (allow about 2 km to Ville-Haute). The hamlet of Ville-Haute is also the departure point for shuttle buses (for a fee) to the Upper Clarée Valley, the starting point for numerous hiking trails.

Missing the city? The Névache municipal campground is just 20 km from Briançon, a UNESCO World Heritage Site worth exploring for a day trip. In town, you’ll find movie theaters, shops, a swimming pool, an ice rink, and more. The nearby resorts and villages offer additional activities (such as summer tobogganing, etc.).
