Via Corda de l'Aiguille Rouge
This via corda provides access to the summit of the Aiguille Rouge from the north face. A via corda is a route equipped with metal steps and spindles, without cables, where you progress by securing yourself to the spindles in place with carabiners.

Above the Col de l'Echelle, the steep north face of the Aiguille Rouge has been equipped as a via corda.
A via corda is an itinerary equipped with metal steps, spindles and "pig tails", without cables, where you progress roped up, securing yourself to the existing spindles with carabiners.
Access: Park at the pass level on the left (before the descent to Bardonecchhia), and follow the steep path behind the information sign. At the end of the forest, continue left, then climb obliquely right to the foot of a rocky orange tower at a well-marked pass. Follow the ridge on the left to the start of the itinerary (1h30).
