The Val Sky Race

The Val Sky Race will introduce you to the lower Clarée Valley, its hamlets, and Montgenèvre.

Description

From the Draye car park, cross the road and take the track on the right bank, leading to a path through the woods towards Plampinet.
From Plampinet, follow the Acles forest track to reach the chalets of the same name, where there is a water source. Continue towards Montgenèvre via the Col de Dormillouse and then the Col de la Lauze.
From Montgenèvre, head to the Bois de Sestrières via the trail along the Durance, then continue to the hamlet of Les Alberts, where there is another water source. A small trail on the left bank of the Clarée will then take you back to the Pont de la Draye, via the hamlet of Le Rosier.

This long and demanding route requires good physical condition. Be extra vigilant on hot days.
