Ski touring on the Col de Buffère
A classic and popular ski route, the Col de Buffère is ideal for first-time ski tourers.
Description
Head south from the refuge (wide track), then pull slightly to the right to climb steadily up the left bank slope.
Another track remains at the bottom of the valley (best on snowshoes) and follows the posts along the top. Climbing the Pinon spur to the left of the pass provides an exceptional view.
Descend by the same route. The very gentle slope makes this an introductory run for everyone.
For beginners and intermediate skiers.
