Les Granges de la Vallée Étroite thematic trail
Follow Croc la Pomme de Pin along a themed trail to discover the history of the Vallée Etroite! Following the torrent, the trail is lined with explanatory panels, from the 7 fountains dam to the hamlet of Les Granges.
Description
The route starts from the Sept Fontaines dam, the first part of the trail climbs through a pine forest and continues flat to the Plaine des Militaires, formerly known as "Plan do Vurzné".
Along the plateau, the path follows the bed of the Vallée Étroite stream, at the foot of the Paroi des Militaires, to reach the sheepfold at the place known as "Ranfaurë", named after the wind's breath. Beyond the sheepfold, the path continues along the stream, crossing "i Pa dla Giarina" to reach Lënga Bruina, where the cows graze in summer.
The path then rises a few metres before reaching the parking area next to the road leading to the hamlet of Les Granges.
