Association des Amis du patrimoine religieux de Névache
The Association des Amis du patrimoine religieux de Névache aims to restore, safeguard and promote the rich history and heritage of Névache.
Description
For almost 35 years, the "Friends of the Religious Heritage of Névache" have been contributing to the restoration of the town's religious heritage, with the desire to interest all publics, both Névachais and visitors, in its riches.
The "Amis du Patrimoine Religieux de Névache" (Friends of the Religious Heritage of Névache) and APATREN, in partnership with the commune of Névache, are actively involved in the preservation and conservation of this unique communal religious heritage handed down through the generations. Funds are raised through events such as the annual book sale, concerts (mainly in July and August) and appeals for donations. Through their efforts, they give work to specialized craftsmen, often local, and thus contribute to the region's economy. They also bring to life testimonies of the past by restoring objects and staging exhibitions.
The association has undergone a complete overhaul, emphasizing the importance of maintaining this fine heritage through: a new communication campaign on the website management of memberships and donations with Helloasso (donations are tax-deductible).
A renewed membership in 2025 has enabled us to reaffirm our commitment to several projects: the restoration of the chapel of Saint-Jean-Baptiste and the church of Saint-Marcellin. The same applies to the conservation and enhancement of the objects preserved by Abbé Romagne in Névache, with a view to making them accessible to a wider public through the creation of one or more suitable spaces. Finally, the association also aims to open up to other associations in the commune and even the Clarée valley. Last but not least, thanks to funds raised, the association has already contributed to saving the chapel of Notre-Dame-des-Sept-Douleurs on the summit of Mont Thabor, which is due to be rebuilt in the near future.
Of course, we invite you to join us now by becoming a member of the association, and to discover or rediscover the Apatren on its website.
