Chapel of the 12th and 15th century, it served as a parish church until 1542. It houses frescoes depicting the life of Saint-Pancrace, a young Christian martyr from the 3rd century.

Description

The Chapel of Saint Pancras, nestled against the mountain of Pied Sec, at the edge of the wood, is perched on a hill from which one can see the Briançon down into its valley floors.

The chapel protects the Villard and the parishioners, it also served as a parish church until 1542, when the current village church was built.

In 1148, a charter of the abbey of Oulx already mentioned it as a popular pilgrimage site. Even today, the novena (nine-day devotion) dedicated to Saint Pancras (12 to 20 May) continues.

A large assembly of faithful, coming from different sectors, participates with fervor in this novena, whose culmination is the Sunday of Saint Pancrace, feast Parish and patron of the village.

It seems to be the only novena still practiced today in the parish sector. One more reason and enough to keep this tradition alive and maintained.
