From Grenoble :
- From Col du Lautaret: take the N85 towards Briançon, then the D1091 via Bourg d'Oisans and Col du Lautaret. In winter, the Col du Lautaret may be closed depending on weather conditions. Check traffic conditions before
- From the Fréjus Tunnel: Join Chambéry, then the A43 towards Modane. At Modane, take the N543: Fréjus Tunnel (T4 direction Bardonnèche - Turin - Montgenèvre). Pass through the tunnel and continue towards Oulx via the E70 then the SS24 towards Montgenèvre. Pass the Col de Montgenèvre. Continue on the N94 to Briançon.
From Marseille :
Take the A51 then the RN to Briançon.
From Italy/Oulx :
Pass the Col de Montgenèvre then continue on the N94 to Briançon.
From Briançon :
- At the first crossroads, the D35 will take you to Puy-Saint-Pierre and Puy Saint André. To reach Villard-Saint-Pancrace, continue on the N94, then take the D136 A towards Villard-Saint-Pancrace.
- To get to Cervières from Briançon, take the D902 towards the Col de l'Izoard (closed during the winter season). Cervières is only 9 kilometers away. To get to Cervières in winter, special equipment is required: snow tires, chains or socks. You can check road conditions by calling 04 92 24 44 44.
From the Queyras :
In summer only, take the Col de l'Izoard to reach the village of Cervières. In winter, take the N94 to Briançon via Guillestre.

Parking – Cars and RVs
There are numerous parking lots in Briançon and the municipalities of Izoard.
- Coaches and motorhomes are allowed to park free of charge in the Jean-Marie Leblanc car park, at the sports park, in front of the Briançon ice rink.
- Electricity recharging points and a drainage area are available.
- Buses and motorhomes can also park at the exit of the Champ de Mars car park in a dedicated area (4 bus spaces, around ten spaces for motorhomes). Parking is subject to a charge overnight but is free from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m.
Mountain law: mandatory special equipment
❄Snow tires or special equipment are mandatory from November 1 to March 31 ❄
To improve user safety in snowy and icy conditions and limit road blockages, winter equipment is mandatory.
You can choose to equip your vehicle :
- with four winter tires
- or have chains or snow socks for at least two drive wheels.

Altigo transportation/buses
Travel to the towns of Villard-Saint-Pancrace, Puy-Saint-Pierre, Puy-Saint-André, and Cervières with Altigo bus lines.
With regular bus services, shuttles to take you to the market in Briançon from Puy-Saint-Pierre or Puy-Saint-André, and the Haut le Pied* school bus service, you'll find plenty of transport options for visiting the area around Briançon.
(*Haut Le Pied: What is it? These are the trips that a vehicle makes empty to get to the starting point or return point of its route. These routes are open to the public during the school year and during school vacations in Zone B.)

Passes closed in winter
Please note that the Galibier, Izoard, and Échelle passes are closed in winter. The Lautaret pass remains open in winter, except in the event of snowstorms.
