The Combes hamlet loop

At the entrance to the Partias Regional Nature Reserve, this loop is ideal for families.

Description

From the Puy Chalvin parking lot, follow the road to the entrance of the hamlet. Take the first alley on your right, passing the Chapelle Saint-Lucie.
At the crossroads, take the path alongside the house in front of you and follow it to the picnic area.
At the junction with the picnic area, take the rightmost track and follow it for 2 km. Watch out for cars coming down from the hamlet of Les Combes.

Once you've reached the hamlet of Les Combes, drive through the village to the small parking lot 400 m further on.
Before the parking lot, take the path down to the river on your left.
Then, instead of crossing the torrent, take the path on your left, signposted Puy-Saint-André/Sentier VTT.
Follow the path for 3 km until you return to the picnic area you came across on the way up.
Once you've reached the picnic area, take the trail back towards Puy Chalvin, which will be on your right at the foot of the hill.
Once in Puy-Chalvin, cross the hamlet to return to the parking lot.
