Located at an altitude of 1,500m on the border between Isère and Hautes-Alpes, just a stone's throw from the legendary Lautaret and Galibier passes, welcome to the village of La Grave - La Meije.

The villageThe Park's main town, far from the fashions and trends of skiing, is a village at the foot of which a cable car has been installed, cultivating the spirit of a pure and authentic mountain. This mountaineering mecca exudes a spirit of serenity.
La Grave aurait jadis été entourée d’une enceinte fortifiée qui a aujourd’hui entièrement disparu.
The town has retained a tightly woven urban fabric, as evidenced by the numerous "trabuc" lanes linking the houses together. The urban heritage is rich, with narrow streets, traditional houses and the 11th-century Romanesque church of Notre-Dame de l'Assomption.

Le Chazelet
Au Chazelet, en face du domaine de ski hors-piste des Vallons de la Meije, vous pouvez vous adonner au ski de piste dans un cadre grandiose de paysages de montagne, le tout à prix doux. Une station de ski familiale pour profiter des joies de la neige avec vos enfants.
In summer, it's the ideal starting point for numerous hikes, and one of the best vantage points on the Meije.
Bathed in sunshine, the authentic villages accessible via "la route du coin" face the Meije, offering panoramic views over the valley.
Each houses around 50 permanent residents.
Ventelon
Premier hameau que vous rencontrerez. Prenez le temps de vous asseoir sur les bancs devant la chapelle et admirez les sommets qui s’offrent à vous. Une table d’orientation vous aidera à les reconnaître.
Les Terrasses
At one time, steep slopes required the use of terraces for cultivation. These former cultivation terraces, now natural meadows, are mowed or grazed.
Les Hières
Prononcé “les Zières”, dernier hameau accessible en hiver. Plus loin ce sera Valfroide et vous ne pourrez vous y rendre véhiculé que l’été. L’hiver il faudra chausser les skis de randonnée. La belle église St Pierre et St Paul est l’une des plus anciennes du canton.
